Daniel Cadavid is a co-founder and the CEO/President of The FORTIA Group. He focuses on helping families and business owners make smarter financial and risk-protection decisions with a clear goal: organize today, protect against downside risk, and build strategies that work now and endure over time. His style is strategic yet approachable—direct, practical, and hands-on from start to finish.
He graduated from St. John Jesuit High School in 2000 and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance and International Business from The University of Toledo (Ohio). With more than 15 years of experience in financial planning and risk management, Daniel has built a career around designing integrated solutions that connect protection, liquidity, wealth-building, and long-term family and business goals.
A defining part of his professional background was his time at Northwestern Mutual, one of the most respected firms in the United States for financial planning and protection. That experience gave him a strong, disciplined framework for structuring robust financial plans for both businesses and families—seeing the full picture, quantifying risk, prioritizing decisions, and implementing solutions aligned with real-world objectives.
Today, Daniel applies that expertise to advise clients across Colombia and Latin America on asset-protection and tax-efficiency strategies for companies and their owners, using structures designed to create clarity, control, and better financial outcomes over time.
Daniel also holds U.S. licenses that support the legitimacy and scope of The FORTIA Group’s work in the United States: Florida 2-15 (Life & Health), Florida 2-20 (Property & Casualty), FINRA Series 7, and Series 66. These credentials enable him to advise and structure solutions within the U.S. regulatory framework—giving clients the confidence of working with a properly licensed, professional team operating at the highest standards.
CARLOS RENÉ SIERRA PATTIN

Carlos René Sierra Pattin is a co-founder of The FORTIA Group and the founder of Sierra Seguros – Expertos en Seguros, a firm with more than 20 years of experience in Colombia’s insurance market. He is known for the strategic design of corporate insurance programs and asset-protection structures, combining technical discipline, financial planning, and consistent execution.
He holds a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad de Medellín, with a specialization in Insurance Management. Throughout his career, Carlos has advised companies, business groups, and families on high-impact decisions—building protection programs with rigor, clarity, and a long-term perspective.
Under his leadership, Sierra Seguros earned “Agencia Diamante” recognition, ranking among the top 32 agencies out of more than 4,200 advisors in Colombia—an achievement that reflects consistency, production, superior standards, and sustained client trust. He also led the first regional alliance with major retail chain channels, setting a precedent for innovative insurance distribution models in the country.
Carlos’ expertise focuses on structuring complex corporate programs, liability coverage, enterprise-wide risk management, and asset protection for corporate and family structures with high exposure. He stands out for his ability to translate risk into business terms: identifying vulnerabilities, refining coverage design, and ensuring the program performs when it matters most.

Esteban Restrepo is a co-founder of The FORTIA Group and a trusted advisor to companies and families looking to protect their people and their assets with a modern, strategic approach. He combines technical structure with genuine, human service—and a strong commitment to doing things the right way: clear coverage, organized processes, and decisions without surprises.
He graduated from The Columbus School in 2011 and earned his Bachelor’s in Economics from Texas Tech University in 2015, where he was a scholarship student and served as captain of the golf team. That mix of discipline, leadership, and results-driven focus shows in how he supports clients today—methodical, calm, and execution-oriented.
Esteban began his career 10 years ago at Marsh, the global leader in insurance brokerage and risk management, where he developed international-level standards and a high-service mindset. In Colombia, he specializes in employee benefits, health, life insurance, and asset protection, helping companies and individuals build strong, efficient insurance programs aligned with their financial reality.
As a co-founder of The FORTIA Group, Esteban expands the reach of his clients across Colombia, Latin America, and the United States, connecting them to the U.S. insurance marketplace and solutions designed for people with cross-border assets, operations, and long-term plans. PABLO ZULUAGA

Pablo Zuluaga is a co-founder of The FORTIA Group and a trusted advisor known for translating complex insurance and risk topics into clear, actionable, and well-structured decisions. His style is professional and direct, while always approachable—he cares that clients truly understand what they are buying, why it matters, and how it works when it counts.
He earned his degree in Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (UPB) in 2012 and brings 16 years of experience in the insurance industry. Pablo was trained in the big broker environment, beginning his career at Marsh, the world leader in insurance brokerage and risk management, where he developed a strong foundation in technical excellence, negotiation, and end-to-end corporate program management.
Throughout his career, Pablo has specialized in corporate advisory, property & casualty (P&C) programs, and enterprise risk management, supporting organizations and business owners in building protection structures that truly match their operations, balance sheet realities, and actual exposures. His focus is proactive: identifying vulnerabilities early, tightening coverage design, optimizing cost, and eliminating “gray areas” that can become expensive when a claim occurs.
